Woodstock Wrestling

The Jr. Wolverines Started as a feeder program for the Woodstock High School team. Over the years we have seen many wrestlers grow and move thru the program with great success both on the mats and more importantly in the classroom. We recognize both as important milestones in a wrestlers career! What I want for the kids is for them to take the skills they learn in our room and apply them across their life.

After growing in the area and working with other local feeder coaches, we decided that to get better competition in the room we needed to pull in other kids. We have merged the Woodstock and Etowah feeder programs. We have worked together for many years and it just seemed like the right thing to do. We are now the Combined WOODSTOCK CITY WRESTLING Team!!

Current Team Structures

The Jr. WCW team is made up from both middle school and elementary schools that feed the Woodstock and surrounding areas. Most of our kids feed into the Woodstock and Etowah High School Districts.

We typically have Elementary School kids that are between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. I have let some little brothers and sisters come in that are 4. The youngest ones just watch and get to roll around a little.

Our Middle School kids are between the ages of 11 and 14 years old. I love to get football and LAX kids in the room and work with them on balance, body control, and agility! Wrestling improves the base for all other sports in our program.

Bring your youth athlete out and give wrestling a try!
